As you might read from the Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords review, there is a new Puzzle Quest game in the works. It was announced at the Game Developers Conference 2008.

The new game will be a Sci-fi, conquer the galaxy setting. It will support both single and multi player games. This time multiplayer may support up to 4 people (Challenge of the Warlords supported only 2 people in multiplayer mode). It has been told that there will also be downloadable content for the game. We will see what this means for the PSP version of the game. As you may know, original Puzzle Quest was released on PC, DS, PSP and XBOX Live. Therefore, we expect simultaneous release on multiple platforms.
