PSP-Maps v0.4 Review (8/10)
Are you a student studying for a geography exam, and you don’t know where you put that old atlas, but you have your trusty PSP by your side and a wifi hotspot is available, then PSP-Maps 0.4 is your new best friend.

PSP-Maps v0.4 is the newest version of Royale’s homebrew google map viewer, this release is an excellent example of what a psp can do with a wifi hotspot. This release has some nifty little features including the most important part of this update, a CACHE, now you do not need a wifi hotspot to view the maps, it also adds some speed increases for the loading of the maps.
This homebrew still has its limitations, it only has 9 spots to save a location, which is in my opinion not enough. It would also be nice if the save spot had an image preview. Another limitation is that the cache takes alot of space on the memory card, although it does make the maps load fast. One final limitation is that at the moment, you cannot search for a location.
Overall, this is still under version 1.0, and the developer said on his site that he was willing to change it to the google maps API, and allow users to search, he also plans to fix alot of bugs too.
Usefulness: 9/10
Ease of use: 8/10
Setup and controls: 9/10
Menus and visual effects: 6/10
I highly recommend that you download this piece of great homebrew for your Custom Firmware 3.xx here.
