Patapon Tips and Tricks

Very soon we will be publishing a review of Patapon. As you may already know Patapon is a really fun game though unique in its own and has some secrets to it waiting to be unleashed. Thus we will create a new category here on The PSP Port in which we will post about Tips and Tricks for popular games. We are more than willing to see your contributions in the comments and those will be moved into the posts with your names on them.
So lets start with Patapon:
No.1 How to cross the desert/make it rain/find the “Don” drum?
If you are having troublefinding the Don drum, or more generally, would like to cross the desert and don’t know how here is the deal: To cross the desert you are going to need a special song which includes the “Don” drum (X button). The key is available in the first hunting area. There is an innocent looking Totem Pole there. You have to play the song written on it and it will rise from the ground awarding you with some special item revealing the place to find the “Don” Drum. Then you will learn the Rain song which is -I have to admit- not easy to perform.
No.2 How to hunt better?
When you go hunting, do not take yaripons with you. Those guys are so blood-thirsty and excited they just go ahead and wake the animals prematurely. This results in you missing the animals as they run away.
