Tyrian PSP v1.0

March 10th, 2008 at 6:52 pm

I am sure many of you are familiar with Tyrian, the classic shoot ‘em up game from my high school years (I still remember how many days I spend playing it, to upgrade my weapons, or my generator). Tyrian was originally released in 1995 by Epic MegaGames. We saw the freeware version in 2004, and in 2007, the graphics were made open source.

Metal Blob Solid PSP for Slim v1.04

March 10th, 2008 at 6:23 pm

There is a new homebrew game in town, which happens to be a PSP port of Metal Blob Solid from Parallel Realities. We would like to thank Denis Televnyy for his PSP coding.

Metal Blob Solid is a tactical 2D platformer, where you take on the role of a fearless Blob agent named Bob. Bob’s world has been invaded by aliens and Blobs are struggling to win their long battle. As Bob, you try to infiltrate the various enemy bases, and rescue as many Blob buddies as you can. Of course the bad aliens will be trying everything they can to stop you winning the war.

NervOS v1.0

March 9th, 2008 at 12:42 am

Hail hooo!!! There is a new PSP shell on the streets of homebrew scene. It is the brainchild of Pirata Nervo, who has recently released the first public version. Although it does not have a rich feature set as IR Shell, NervOS is definitely a positive step in the PSP shell world. We would love to see NervOS being actively developed and become as feature rich as possible.

God of War: Chains of Olympus Review (9.4/10)

March 8th, 2008 at 10:37 pm

God of War Dear friends, it is my absolute pleasure to write a review of this awesome game. As you might know, Chains of Olympus was one of the most anticipated PSP games of this year. Some of us was lucky enough to get our hands on the demo version of this game. For those of us, who did not get their chance to see it in action stop reading the review, run to your nearest Gamestop (ordering online will take too much time to deliver) and buy your copy.

To be honest with you, I have not played neither God of War, nor God of War II (I will definitely do that very soon). However, from what I have been reading online, Chains of Olympus is as great as the previous games, gameplay vise, graphics vise and sound vise. The only complain I have ever heard was the length of the gameplay, which I will talk about soon.
